Deviyar - A place that you will not find on google maps. Situated on the Western Ghats, east of Rajapalayam, somewhere behind the Periyar National Park is all that we can tell you.  Deep within the forests is a "Plantation" and except the local workers who go to work,  there is nobody around and so there is no village as such , that explains why you will not find it on the map. The trek starts at the foothills and its a 6 hours trek through dense forest to reach the Plantation. You stay the night there, and return the next day.  There is no electricity, no toilets....so its open university with plenty of fresh air and stream water. Night stay will be dormitory type. This trek is purely for trekkers who wish to get out of their comfort zone and experience nature un-cut !
